Argazkilaritza eremu hedatutzat hartuz garatzen dut nire arte praktika. Nire interes nagusia, zehazki, lurraldetasunaren arazoa identitate zeinu gisa argazki praktikatik abiatuta lantzean datza. Muga, memoria, arkitektura edo lurraldea bezalako nozioak erlazionatzen ditut, paisaiaren sentipen konplexu eta pertsonala eraikuntza kultural, politiko edo sozial gisa ulerturik.
Izaera fotografiko soila duten nire proiektu batzuetan, ikuspegi fenomenologikotik eta asmo kritiko jakin batetik abiatuta irudiak sortzeko aukera bilatzen dut, haien osagai estetikoen bidez euren eraikuntzan zentzu politiko inplizitu bat susmatzeko aukera ematen dutelarik. Dena den, osagai estetiko edo are tekniko horretatik haratago, egungo praktika artistikoa bizi-esperientzia bezala eta pentsamendurako aukera bezala sentitzen dut.
Nire praktika identitatearen eragin esparruak testuinguruaren inguruan garatutako ikerketa bat bezala ulertzen dut, sinbolikotasuna edo konnotaziozkoa dena arteak ezagutzara gidatzeko behar duen tresna gisa erabiliz, afektibotasunetik eta pertzepziozkoa den horretatik. Argazkilaritza eta bideoaren bidez dokumentatutako ekintza performatiboak egiteko beharra sentitzen dut, testuinguruarekin lotzeko aukera ematen didatena, adierazitako eta markatutako lurralde batean lan egiteak dakarren gatazkaren aurrean konponduz.
Azkenik, nire lana ezartzeko erabiltzen ditudan bide eta euskarriei arreta ematen diet baita ere, lur eremuan aurretik bizi izan den esperientzia berreraikitze hautemangarriaren prozesuan hainbat euskarri fisikoetara berlurralderatzeko.

I carry out my work from photography as an extended field; to be precise, my main interest comes from the photographic practice in the face of the problematic of territoriality as a sign of identity. I connect notions such as frontiers, memory, architecture, or territory from a complex and personal sense of the landscape as a cultural, political, and even social construction.
Some of my projects, which are purely focused on photography, are aimed at presenting images from a phenomenological approach and with some purpose of criticism. Therefore, their aesthetic features make it possible to understand an implicit political component in their construction. Yet, beyond this aesthetic and even technical motivation, I understand our current artistic practices as some sort of life experience and thinking.
I develop my artistic work as a study of the environment, understood as a framework for identitary influence, by using symbolism and connotation as artistic tools to get to know our reality from both an affective and perceptive point of view. I do believe in the importance of performative actions captured through photography and video, as a way of creating close bonds between myself and the environment, and finding a balance within the controversial nature of working on a given and demarcated territory.
Then I also pay attention to the elements I display my works with, in the process of a sensitive reconstruction of the experience lived on the ground, to reterritorialize it into physical supports.

Desarrollo mi trabajo en arte desde la fotografía, asumiéndola como un campo expandido. Concretamente, mi interés principal parte desde la práctica fotográfica ante la problemática de la territorialidad como signo de identidad.  Relaciono nociones tales como las de frontera, memoria, arquitectura o territorio, desde un sentir complejo y personal del paisaje como construcción cultural, política o incluso social.
En algunos de mis proyectos de una naturaleza puramente fotográfica busco la posibilidad de plantear imágenes desde un acercamiento fenomenológico y una cierta intención crítica, de manera que mediante su componente estético permitan intuir un sentido implícito de lo político en su construcción. No obstante, más allá de este componente estético o incluso técnico, siento la práctica artística actual como una suerte de experiencia vital y pensamiento.
Entiendo mi práctica como una investigación en torno al contexto como marco de influencia identitaria, valiéndome de lo simbólico o connotativo como una herramienta de la que el arte dispone para conocer, desde lo afectivo y lo perceptivo. Siento la necesidad de llevar a cabo acciones performativas documentadas mediante fotografía y video, que me permiten vincularme al contexto, resolviéndome ante el conflicto que implica trabajar en un territorio señalado y marcado.
Finalmente, también presto atención a los medios con los que dispongo mi obra, en el proceso de reconstrucción sensible de la experiencia vivida sobre el terreno, para reterritorializarla hacia diversos soportes físicos.
